Dealing....
I spent the night at Rob's last night will be working from the office at his home today. With all the drama going on with Ryan I will just stay this evening and fix a nice homemade meal for everyone. Ryan & Vanessa's Mother seems to be on the brink of falling apart herself and has not cooked in weeks.
I suppose I should go back a bit at this point so the above paragraph does not sound so cryptic. Rob has four kids. Vanessa whom is 21 and lives with Rob full time as she goes to college, Ryan whom is 19 and is away at college in a different state, Lindsay is 15 and stays at her Mothers most of the time and finally River who is 11 and primarily is with Rob (different Mother that the prior 3). Each have their own story along with the ups and downs of parenting. Most recently though has been Ryan's issues. In short to describe him is classic 'emo', although no he doesn't dress goth he is dramatic in his emotions. Both he and Vanessa are very intelligent and Ryan has an amazing talent for writing. So think along the lines of that gifted artist who is depressed and dark.
Ryan is complicated. I suppose dark isn't really a good word to describe him, he has many up days. However, in the last two years we have dealt with the 'cutting' and during his senior year of high school a few friends of his went to the counselor and said they were in fear he would commit suicide. He went to a counselor for a while and on anti-depressants (much against Rob approval). Although the last year we could tell he still was not right we just kept letting things go. Since he is an adult you can't push him into counseling very easy and honestly his sense of the world and how it functions is so off. Anyway last week we got a call from his college out of state. The Dean of students had called to tell us we needed to come get him as his friends had came forward to say they were worried he would commit suicide. Yes this is twice in less than a year and a half.
Being as this is college there is a chance they will not let him back in to finish the semester due to liability issues, etc. His evaluation with the psychiatrist is this morning and thank God Rob is planning to talk to him alone to speak of our concerns. Which are...is there really an issue or is he manipulating his friends for attention and it back fires on him.
Obviously there has been many discussions in the last few days and more to come I'm sure.

It's Me Again......
Well this is the countless blog start for me. I have blogged on and off for several years, always meaning to write daily and keep a journal of my life.
That being said in the last two years life has seemed to control me instead of me controlling life and along with that has been the lack of time, motivation, & dedication to keep other blogs in the past up and going.
So you might be thinking exactly why I want to try this again. The simple answer is I want/need a journal to pour out my thoughts, document my life as it flies by and write for therapy.
I'm not a brilliant writer so excuse the run on sentences, improper use of commas and sometimes an incomplete thought. However, if you enjoy reading about a thirty-something single Mom of 3 who dates a forty-something Dad of 4 then you've come to the right place.
